Accolade Wines, Britain’s largest wine company, took top prize at the annual MX Manufacturer Awards in Liverpool last night (15.11.18), winning Manufacturer of The Year. The company also won the awards for Customer Service Value and Sustainable Manufacturer.

Accolade Park, the largest wine warehouse and distribution facility in Europe, won the awards in the face of stiff competition, with companies including Jaguar Land Rover, BMW and McLaren Automotive all nominated for awards. With six packaging lines and the capability of producing 1200 bottles of wine every minute, the state of the art facility is the heartbeat at the centre of the company’s global operations.

Richard Lloyd, General Manager, European Operations, says “To be awarded overall Manufacturer of The Year, in addition to awards for Customer Service Value and Sustainable Manufacturer, ahead of such prestigious and innovative companies truly demonstrates the level of excellence we strive for at Accolade Park and is recognition of the highest order.

“We’re tremendously proud of what we do and are passionate about driving improvements to our process on a daily basis – it’s this drive for excellence that is infectious to anyone who visits the site. I’m delighted that the work of the team has received official recognition.”

Ade McKeon, Regional Managing Director, UK and Ireland, says “I am extremely proud of Richard and his team. This achievement showcases the strength and operational excellence at Accolade Park and really reinforces our reputation as a market leader in new world wines.”

It is now a total of six coveted awards for the company, having previously won Sustainable Manufacturer in 2010, the Leadership and Strategy award in 2012, as well as World Class Manufacturer of the Year in 2015. Accolade Wines’ manufacturing facility, Accolade Park, first opened its doors in 2009 and now employs over 500 people and produces some 25 million 9L cases of wine every year.
